02.21.12 Shooting for YOU ARE HERE 2: SHOOT A COP was a challenging experience that forced me to go back to my old neighborhood to see if I could shoot the experiences I had growing up in Lennox, CA. Unfortunately the hood was fairly quiet the entire month we had to shoot police officers. At times I found myself following them like they did to me years earlier. Ultimately I ended up going with my original idea of shooting a model dressed as a cop. This took me out of my comfort zone more so than shooting strangers as for the first time i was going to use a model. My friend Lea donned the Sheriff outfit and did a great job conveying exactly what I wanted. Opening night of the exhibit I was nervous of the reaction I was going to get but everyone was positive and enjoyed what I turned in. A big thank you goes to Rinzi, Jordan and Jacob for yet another opportunity to shoot for the Think Tank Gallery.

08.26.12 Last night was a great night of fun, photography and friends. It was Eric Kim’s last night in Los Angeles (at least for a long while) and we wanted to celebrate with him. Eric has inspired and motivated us all to continue the legacy of Street Photography and I would like to thank him for all of his wisdom. He opened a lot of us up to this art form. Thanks again Eric.
